Romans 5:1-11

It is through Christ that we are justified. Christ is the mean= s and the way for us to be justified.

This is why Paul mentions six times: =

5:1 – “…peace toward God through our Lord = Jesus Christ”

5:2 – “Through whom= we have obtained access by faith into this grace…”

5:9 – “…we will be saved through Him from the wrath.”

5:10 – “…reconciled to God through the death= of His Son…”

5:11 – “…boasting in God through our Lord = Jesus Christ…”

5:11 – “…through whom= we have now received the reconciliation.”

Justification is based on Who Christ is and what Christ has accomplished for us through H= is death on the cross. He is everything and has done everything for our justification. This had nothing = to do with us! Christ is: our peace, our access into grace, = our salvation from wrath, our Reconciler, our boasting, our Redeemer, our Savio= r, our sacrifice, our righteousness, our merit, our virtue, our faith, and our acceptance for justification.

GRACE - Justification by faith gives us an access, an entry into the realm of grace. We are standing in grace. This is to have a stan= ding in God where we can experience and enjoy God. We are learning to stay in the rea= lm of grace and whenever we sense that we have left the realm of grace, we are le= arning to come back to this realm of grace.

PEACE - In the realm of grace, we have peace toward God. We are on a journey toward God. In this journey we walk the way of peace. Peace is for our walk.=

BOAST – Grace causes us to boast (rejoice, glory, joy). We can rejoice because of the hope= , we can glory in our tribulations, and we can joy in God.

HOPE – We have a hope of entering into the glory of God and one d= ay being fully glorified.

GLORY – The expression of all that God is. God’s salvation will save us= to the extent that we will express God spontaneously from our being.

LOVE – The love of God has been poured out (gushed out) in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us. God’s love comforts us in al= l our tribulations. His love assure= s us and confirms to us that we will not be put to shame because God is working = all things in our life for us to be brought into glory with Him.

SAVED FROM WRATH – W= e have been justified in His blood. = The Lord’s death for us accomplished an eternal redemption. This assures us that we will be sa= ved from hell and from God’s judgment.

SAVED IN HIS LIFE – T= hrough the Lord’s death we are redeemed, justified, and reconciled. This death has changed our outward position before God from condemnation to justification. Every barrier between us and God h= as been removed. Now the Lord ca= n save us inwardly by His life to sanctify, transform, conform, and glorify us. His life can save us daily, even m= oment by moment, in our disposition= from so many negative things (self, sin, world, pride, jealousy, temper, moodine= ss, emptiness, loneliness, confusion, anxiety, restlessness, etc…). Justification is for life (“= But the righteous shall have life and live by faith” - Rom. 1:17). We will be saved in His life!
